Harvey Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan issued with arrest warrant on drugs charges as she slams campaign to ‘silence me’

ROSE McGowan has had a warrant issued for her arrest on drugs charges, according to reports, as the actress claimed there was a campaign to “silence” her.

The reported charge – felony possession of an unnamed controlled substance – is said to relate to a police probe into belongings left on a flight.

Cops say items left on a United Airlines plane arriving at Washington Airport on January 20 tested positive for drugs, according to the .

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department is said to have obtained the arrest warrant – now entered on a national US database – on February 1.

Police reportedly said they have tried to get in touch with the actress to get her to appear in court in Loudoun County, Virginia.

But McGowan seemed to imply the charges against her were related to the recent sex scandal sweeping Hollywood.

She wrote on Twitter yesterday: "Are they trying to silence me? There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia. What a load of HORSES***"

And today she shared someone else’s tweet who suggested the arrest warrant would not have hit the press had she accepted “hush money” from Harvey Weinstein.

Alongside it McGowan simply wrote: “Fact.”

The Jawbreaker star was one of several women to come forward with allegations against the movie mogul, claiming Weinstein raped her – a charge he denies.

She was also vocal in her criticism of Kevin Spacey yesterday after another actor accused him of making a sexual advance towards him when he was 14.

Spacey offered Anthony Rapp – now 46 – his “sincerest apology” in the statement.

But he also said he couldn’t remember the incident and that he must have been “deeply drunk”.

The Hollywood veteran then chose to address rumours that have surrounded his sexuality for decades by coming out as gay.

But the outraged actress slammed his decision to link the two, tweeting: “Gay = Gay  Predator = Predator.”

She added: “Bye bye, Spacey goodbye, it’s your turn to cry, that’s why we’ve gotta say goodbye."
