Shamed producer Harvey Weinstein used an ‘army of spies’ including former Mossad agents to gather information on actresses exposing ‘his sex crimes’
SHAMED Harvey Weinstein used an “army of spies” including ex-Mossad agents to dig dirt on actresses exposing his alleged sex crimes.
The film producer, 65, employed Black Cube, run by former Israeli intelligence officers, to help silence stars and journalists helping to tell their stories.
He also used Kroll, one of the biggest global corporate intelligence firms, to gather details about the actresses’ personal lives and sexual histories, says Ronan Farrow — who first detailed rape allegations against Weinstein — in a second probe for The New Yorker.
In it Farrow, son of actress Mia, alleges that the film honcho got a women’s rights activist to befriend Scream star Rose McGowan in the hope of getting an early copy of her memoir.
One invoice alone is said to show Weinstein spent more than £450,000 on his dirt-digging — building psychological profiles on dozens of targets.
The producer’s spokeswoman Sallie Hofmeister said: “It is a fiction to suggest that any individuals were targeted or suppressed at any time.”
