Mum of Italian graduate, 26, killed in Grenfell fire reveals daughter’s harrowing last words as blaze engulfed tower
A DEVASTATED mum painfully recalls the last conversation she had with her daughter - moments before she died in Grenfell fire.
Gloria Trevisan who lived on the 23rd floor of Grenfell Tower, north Kensington, with her fiance Marco Gottardi, used her last breaths to tell her mum how much she loved her.
"I don't want to die. I wanted to help you, to thank you for all you did for me. I am about to go to heaven, I will help you from there."
Her mum Emanuela Disaro told , she felt helpless listening to her daughter's harrowing cries on the phone.
"How do you help that person, with words? You just can't believe what's happening, I couldn't believe what she was telling me," she told the broadcaster.
During Gloria's phone call, her partner Marco, courageously attempted to play down his fears to his own parents.
But they eventually told their desperate families they could see the blaze raging up the stairs.
