Flybe passenger forced plane to divert after threatening to ‘p*** on the floor’ in row with stewardess who would not let him use the toilet
Raging passenger Kieran Tabberner became 'aggressive and abusive' just minutes after May 26 flight took off from Birmingham to Amsterdam
AN air rage passenger forced a flight to turn around and land again when he threatened to "p*** on the floor" — after he was told he could not use the toilet.
Kieran Tabberner became "aggressive and abusive" just ten minutes after a flight from Birmingham to Amsterdam took off.
He directed his anger at air stewardess Robyn Pascoe, who was left so traumatised that she later quit her job of seven years over anxiety.
Tabberner, who was "loud and rowdy" as he boarded the May 26 flight with three other passengers, demanded to use the loo when the Flybe plane was still ascending and the seatbelt signs were lit.
After being told he couldn't, Ms Pascoe said: "He told me he would p*** on the floor if he wasn’t allowed to go. I said he would have to wait," the reported.
She added: "Shortly after we took off we got a signal from the captain that as cabin crew we could take our seat belts off.
"I went to the toilet but when I came out he was waiting trying to get in. I told him he had to go back to his seat as the seat belt signs were still on but he kept saying ‘you have been to the toilet so why can’t I?'"
"It was a confined area and he was waving his arms around aggressively and shouting. I felt terrified.
"I have experienced rowdy behaviour on flights before but nothing like this in seven years.”
After the captain was informed the decision was made to turn the flight around and land at Birmingham again.

Tabberner and three fellow passengers were met by police and escorted off the plane.
Giving evidence at Birmingham Magistrates' Court yesterday, he said that he was "dying to go to the toilet" and "was upset and confused" when he was told he had to wait.
He said that he apologised to the other passengers when he found out the plane was turning back.
Tabberner was found guilty of behaving in a threatening, abusive and insulting manner towards a member of aircraft crew.
He was fined £500, told to pay court costs of £500 and ordered to pay Ms Pascoe £500 in compensation plus a £50 court surcharge.
District Judge Mr Ian Strongman said: "Your actions had a serious financial impact for the company Flybe and a huge impact on Miss Pascoe who gave up her career due to this incident".
