James Bulger’s dad says son’s killer Jon Venables should never be freed as killer is sent back to jail over vile child abuse pics
JAMES Bulger’s furious dad has said his son’s killer should never be freed again as he warned: “You can’t rewire evil.”
We revealed yesterday how Jon Venables, 35, is back in jail after he was caught with child abuse images.
It is his second recall after officials found him hoarding similar material in 2010.
Ralph Bulger, 51, warned Venables, who abducted, tortured and murdered his two-year-old son in 1993, could kill again if freed.
Repeated attempts to rehabilitate him were a waste of time, he said, arguing: “You can’t rewire evil and that is what he is.
“The child abuse offences he has committed over and over as an adult are part of a very frightening build-up to him murdering another child like James.
"Let him out again and he will strike again.”
Venables was freed on parole in 2013 for downloading and distributing child abuse images.
"But officials found more last week at his home in the North of England during a routine monitoring visit.
He is currently at a maximum-security jail, which we cannot identify for legal reasons.
Venables faces a new police probe and a Parole Board hearing.
James’s mum Denise Fergus said: “Venables has proved beyond any doubt what a vile, perverted psychopath he has always been.
