Cop killer Dale Cregan to get downgraded Christmas dinner after being sent back to jail
The one-eyed murderer previously bragged about his stress-free days at Ashworth Hospital which saw him being served up a rump steak and turkey with all the trimmings
COP killer Dale Cregan will finally do real prison time after spending the past four years in a hospital unit.
The one-eyed gangster has bragged about days playing snooker and tennis, and cooking pizza.
Drug lord Cregan, who gunned down cops Fiona Bone, 32, and Nicola Hughes, 23, forced a move to the unit after going on a hunger strike and convincing doctors he was criminally insane.
He is being sent back to jail after now being considered well enough.
It brings an end to his life-style at Ashworth Hospital in Merseyside, which costs £300,000-a-year per patient.
It is possible he will return to Manchester’s Strangeways jail.
A source said: “Thankfully mental health professionals aren’t being fooled by his antics any more. He’s furious.”
Last Christmas Ashworth patients got steak, turkey and puddings.
This year he faces a £3.10 dinner in a cell.
Cregan, 34, murdered two gang rivals in Manchester in 2012 before the fatal gun and grenade ambush on the two police officers.
He was given a whole-life tariff after a £5million trial.
