Family turn garden into wonderland with 20,000 fairy lights – and 650ft of power cables

The couple have replaced most of their twinkling lights with LED bulbs to keep the cost down

LYN Farnes and daughter Roni-Jo proudly show off their Christmas display featuring 20,000 fairy lights powered by 650ft of cable.

Their front garden includes four life-size reindeer and eight Christmas trees, penguins, robins and snowmen.

Lyn, 53, who put together the display with husband Michael, 55, and Roni-Jo, ten, in Hove, East Sussex, said: “No one can walk past without stopping.”
