A TV news reporter has tweeted a hilarious video showing his boss trapped in a glass lift that went up and down for almost an hour.
ITV News political pundit Paul Brand took the uplifting footage at the broadcaster's central London newsroom.
He wrote: "Our Programme Editor Mike Rigby has currently been going up and down in a lift for half an hour with no sign of escape.
"The bulletin tonight could be sparse without his heavy LIFTing #upanddown."
"Lift contractor has been called out. On a serious note, we are trying to set him free, I promise!"
Unlucky Mr Rigby spreads his hands in exasperation and at one point lowers his head and presses his hands together as if praying to a higher power.
Mr Brand later added: "Almost an hour now... Hope he doesn't need a wee." and shortly after: "BREAKING NEWS: Mike has been freed!
"He does not wish to speak to the media at this time and asks that his privacy be respected. #freeMike."
One Twitter user said: "It’s a mix of hilarious and hypnotising.
Another added: "I just love how you’re all standing there giggling", while another quipped: "It's wrong on so many levels."
ITV News said: "We’re pleased to confirm Mike made it out of the lift safe and well, in time to edit his programme."
This weekend a video emerged of a pianist who played the Titanic theme tune in his flooded living room.
Hilarious footage shows Joshua Ashworth, 22, dispel that sinking feeling by performing the Celine Dion hit My Heart Will Go On with water coming up to his knees.
