ZOMBIE DRUG SHOCK

Did fentanyl kill Lil Peep? Cops ‘probe claims US rapper took horror drug that caused Prince’s death’

RAPPER and YouTube star Lil Peep may have taken the powerful opioid fentanyl the day he died, according to reports in the US.

Fentanyl – which is so potent that even a tiny amount can kill – was a factor in the accidental overdose of pop superstar Prince.

TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, said cops had received multiple tip-offs that he had taken the drug.

It is a prescription painkiller that gives relief from chronic diseases and is said to be 100 times more powerful than morphine.

Due to its strength, fentanyl is highly controlled by doctors and pharmacists and cannot be prescribed for children.

Earlier this month Tucson Police Sergeant Pete Dugan told  that the star’s manager found him unresponsive on his tour bus which contained drugs and drugs paraphernalia.

Emergency crews attempted to revive Peep (real name Gustav Åhr) but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The cop added that because “it’s not normal” for a 21-year-old to die, detectives quickly searched his tour bus for clues to his death.

“Based on what they heard and saw, they were able to say that it appears that this was a possible drug overdose, most likely from Xanax,” Dugan said.

“There was drug paraphernalia and narcotics on the bus as well.”

The Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and said in a statement that the suspected cause of death is a drug overdose.

Peep died on Wednesday night hours after sharing a haunting Instagram post, which read: “When I die, you’ll love me”.

The New York-based hip hop artist, who had released his debut album, Come Over When You’re Sober, in August this year to great acclaim.

In August, he announced that he was bisexual, writing on Twitter: “Yes I’m bisexual. Who wants a kiss.”

Sarah Stennett, from his label First Access Entertainment, said: “I am shocked and heartbroken.

“I do not believe Peep wanted to die, this is so tragic.

“He had big goals and dreams for the future which he had shared with me, his team, his family and his friends.

“He has highly intelligent, hugely creative, massively charismatic, gentle and charming.
