Meghan Markle’s Suits co-star tweets this hilarious reaction to Prince Harry engagement news
MEGHAN Markle's on-screen love interest congratulated her on her engagement to Prince Harry in a hilarious tweet.
Patrick J Adams, who plays Mike Ross in legal drama Suits, shared a tweet from Kensington Palace announcing the happy news.
He wrote alongside it: "She said she was just going out to get some milk."
Adams added: "Playing Meghan’s television partner for the better part of a decade uniquely qualifies me to say this: Your Royal Highness, you are a lucky man and I know your long life together will be joyful, productive and hilarious. Meghan, so happy for you, friend. Much love.
Meghan stars in the hit series as Rachel Zane and may finally walk down the aisle with Mike in the seventh series.
Suits fans were quick to comment on Patrick's funny tweet.
One said: "That's the funniest tweet today! Hahahahah."
Another added: "Best tweet ever."
A third commented: "I swear this had me in tears!"
Meghan and Harry opened up about their relationship in their first joint interview on the BBC tonight.
The prince revealed he proposed to the American actress while they were having a "cosy night in" cooking a roast chicken.
The smitten royal, 33, popped the question last month with a stunning ring he designed himself using two diamonds belonging to his late mother, Princess Diana.
He opened up about their 16-month relationship in the interview - revealing the pair first met on a blind date.
Harry added: "I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly... All the stars were aligned - everything was just perfect.
"It was this beautiful woman just sort of literally tripped and fell into my life - I fell into her life."
The loved-up couple will marry in the Spring next year and spend married life in Nottingham Cottage in Kensington Palace.
