Geri Horner backs The Sun’s campaign to save veteran war dogs due to be put down

Military chiefs ruled Belgian Shepherds Kevin and Dazz cannot be re-homed over safety fears - despite saving thousands of lives in Afghanistan by sniffing out bombs

SPICE Girl Geri Horner has joined celebs backing The Sun’s campaign to stop two heroic war dogs being put down  —  as tens of thousands of readers join the fight.

Belgian Shepherds Kevin and Dazz saved thousands of lives in Afghanistan by sniffing out bombs, but we told last week military chiefs ruled they cannot be re-homed due to safety fears.

Two ex-Army dogs are due to be put down after saving thousands of lives in Afghanistan

The retired dogs, both nine, face lethal injections, along with an ex-police dog called Driver.

But last night a change.org petition set up by SAS legend Andy McNab had over 319,000 signatures.

And Ginger Spice Geri, 45, lent her support, saying: “These dogs have given their lives to save others.

“They deserve the same love and kindness.”
