Gay porn star who trolled August Ames refuses to back down over ‘homophobic’ accusations despite her suicide
A GAY porn star who trolled August Ames has refused to back down on accusing her of homophobia, despite her suicide this week.
August — whose real name is Mercedes Grabowski — was found dead in California on December 5 from a suspected suicide just hours after she was bombarded with abuse online.
Gay porn star Bruce Beckham had blasted Ms Ames after she voiced her concerns about working with an actor who had also starred in gay porn.
On December 3 she tweeted: "Whichever (lady) performer is replacing me tomorrow... you’re shooting with a guy who has shot gay porn, just to let cha know. BS is all I can say Do agents really not care about who they’re representing?"
She tweeted later the same day after a backlash: "NOT homophobic. Most girls don’t shoot with guys who have shot gay porn, for safety."
And on Monday, Bruce replied: "Turns out being an uneducated homophobe DIDN'T get you a pat on the head? Maybe think next time before you word vomit for attention."
But the day after her death, Beckham appeared unrepentant about his tweets.
Writing on Twitter, he said:"On Monday I called out a homophobic performer for her ignorance and uneducated bias. She allegedly chose to end her own life when she was exposed to the same vitriol that gay people have been exposed to globally for decades.
"Today, friends performers and fans are attributing blame to myself and others who weighed in.
"I’m sorry for her loss of life and whatever personal struggles caused her to choose to end her own life when faced with confrontation, accountability, and education."
He also denied wishing August any harm and sent his condolences to her family.
August's heartbroken brother has said online bullies cost his baby sister her life.
He told the Sun Online he blamed bullies for his sister's death.
"I want my sister's death to be recognised as a serious issue - bullying is not OK," he said.
"It cost me my baby sister's life.
"I will do what I can be a voice for Mercedes but right now my family and I need to be left alone to grieve - we have lost a loved one."
