Levi Bellfield may confess to MORE murders after the death of his mum who he tried to protect from the truth, relative claims
A RELATIVE of sick killer Levi Bellfield says he may confess to MORE murders - because the death of his beloved mum means he doesn't have to 'protect' her anymore.
Bellfield's mum, Jean, passed away on Sunday from a lung condition aged 81 and continued to insist her son was innocent.
The twisted murderer is set to die in prison for his vile crimes, after being convicted of murdering 13-year-old Milly Dowler, Marsha McDonnell, 19 and Amelie Delagrange, 22.
However, it has been suspected by some that these hideous murders are not the only deaths 49-year-old Bellfield is responsible for.
The relative said: "Even though Levi is pure evil, it will destroy him to learn of his mum's death.
"Jean couldn’t accept he was the monster everyone made him out to be.
"Now he doesn’t need to protect her, people close to him think he could come clean.”
Earlier this month it was claimed by a prison friend of Bellfield's that he had confessed to the 1996 slaughter of mum Lin Russell and her daughter Megan, aged just 6.
Michael Stone is currently serving life for the crime, but maintains his innocence.
In a shocking twist, Bellfield released a recording from his prison cell where he insisted the claim he murdered the Russell's was made by "a fantasist."

Bellfield has previously also been linked to the murder of young Patsy Morris, a school pal who died when Bellfield was only 12-year-old.
But Bellfield's brother, who did not want to be named, slammed claims the predator is responsible for other victims and said: "To say Levi will admit to lots of other murders is just sick, he has never confessed to any murders."
