Terror couple who plotted to launch murderous knife rampage in the UK to celebrate their wedding day are jailed
A HUSBAND and wife who plotted a knife rampage terror attack in the UK to celebrate their marriage were jailed today.
Bride-to-be Madihah Taheer, 21, encouraged groom Ummariyat Mirza to go on a bloody spree, telling him: "I want you to kill ppl for me. I have a list" - as well as revealing she fantasised about the beheading of Katie Hopkins.
Mirza, 21, was jailed for 16 years and his wife for ten years.
The couple, who had made plans to join ISIS after marrying, swapped messages on Whatsapp, with Taheer telling her partner "Omd I fantasise about Katie Hopkins head. She's the biggest kuthi (b**ch) of them all."
In messages to each other, Mirza said he wanted to stab someone 27 times. Taheer replied that "sounds so satisfying".
He then sent her a video of him pretending to stab a chair and asked her to buy him a knife.
When police searched the couple's Birmingham home they found a combat knife and a life-like dummy used for practice.
The mannequin had slash marks across the forehead, throat and abdomen.
During the trial, court had been shown hundreds of messages between the couple that ran over nearly two years, joking about jihad and mass murder.
They also shared ISIS propaganda clips with each other.
Mirza had used his phone to research potential targets including a Birmingham military base.
Among the messages between the couple were several sent in September 2015, seven months before their marriage in April 2016.
Taheer told Mirza: "Can we get married already ffs. I want you to kill for me. I have a list."
Mirza replied: "The day of the nikkah (marriage) I'll kill em all. Give me the list.
"The only thing that stops me is we are not married. I will defo I'm not joking."
The couple was arrested on March 29, a week after Khalid Masood killed five people in Westminster including PC Keith Palmer.
Taheer was seven months pregnant at the time, giving birth to a son in May.
Mirza had been researching Masood on his computer, alongside potential targets, googling Birmingham Barracks as well as Jewish areas of London and Birmingham Central Synagogue.
When he posted a knife emoji on his WhatsApp account police decided it was time to swoop.
Mirza admitted preparing terrorist acts and two counts of possessing information useful to a terrorist.
The court was told that Taheer said she was being controlled by her husband, denying any involvement.
However, she was found guilty of the preparation of terrorist acts after trial at Woolwich crown court in October.

Prosecutors said the text conversations showed Taheer was a "willing accomplice" who knew what Mirza wanted to use the knife for.
Also due to be sentenced today was Mirza's 23-year-old sister Zainab, who shared ISIS propaganda with the couple on social media.
She pleaded guilty to five counts of disseminating terrorist publications.
