Tesco to be sued over its ‘fake farm’ names by a farmer from the real-life version of one of its brands
The supermarket giant is to face legal action from a farmer whose farm bears the name Woodside - which is used by Tesco to sell sausages and other pork produce
TESCO is set to be sued over its “fake farm” names by a farmer from the real-life version of one of its brands.
The owner of Woodside Farm claims to sell better quality pork than the supermarket giant, which has used the same name since 2016.
Notts-based Richard Baugh is being backed by charity Feedback.
He said: “We’ve been raising pigs for 20 years.
“Customers were asking all the time whether we were supplying Tesco. We don’t.”
