Husband of Extras and Ugly Betty star Ashley Jensen found dead at family home
EXTRAS star Ashley Jensen is mourning the sudden death of her husband.
Terence Beesley, wed to the Ugly Betty actress for ten years, was found unconscious at home.
An ambulance arrived at their property in Camerton, Somerset, within ten minutes of a frantic 999 call.
The 60-year-old actor, who recently appeared in ITV’s Victoria, did not survive.
Ashley, 48, is comforting their son Francis, eight.
A spokeswoman for the star, currently appearing in BBC drama Love, Lies and Records, said: “Ashley is devastated and respectfully asks for privacy at this extremely sad and difficult time.”
The cause of Terence’s death at the end of last month is not certain.
An inquest will not be concluded until the new year.
It is not known whether he had been suffering ill health.
A source said yesterday: “Nobody saw this coming.
“Terence and Ashley’s friends and family are all devastated. This is a heart-breaking time for them.”
A spokesman for Mr Beesley said: “It is with great sadness that I can confirm that Terence passed away at the end of November.”
The couple met in 1999 during a stage production of King Lear in London.
They married in the US in 2007, where Ashley was appearing in US comedy drama Ugly Betty.
Only the minister and the couple’s dog Barney, who acted as the ring-bearer, were present.
After their son was born, Ashley excitedly revealed they had chosen not to find out if they were expecting a boy or girl.
She said: “We thought there are so few surprises left in the world.
“We wanted to be surprised, so we don’t have the room painted pink or blue.”
