CELEBRITY chef Nick Nairn has been battered in a savage attack after leaving his cook school.
The TV cook - the youngest Scots chef to win a Michelin star - was pounced on by two thugs in Aberdeen in the early hours of this morning.
The 58-year-old was left with horror injuries to his face including cuts and black eye.
He said on Twitter: "I was assaulted this morning on Union Street walking home from my Cookschool, two feisty chaps did this to me and ran off.
"If anyone saw anything can u call Police Scotland on 101. They were great as were ambulance and hospital services.
"I'm a bit peeved but fine."
The brutal attack happened at around 1am when he was walking down the city's Union Street.
He was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and cops have launched a hunt for the attackers.
Investigating Officer PC Alan Gordon said: "With festive celebrations ongoing Aberdeen city centre was busy last night with people out socialising.

"I would ask that if anyone saw this incident to contact us. In particular, we believe two males wearing black jackets and jeans may have information that could assist us with our enquiries.
"Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101."
