A HUNGRY Husky tied to an advertising board dragged the heavy load into a McDonald’s where its owner was ordering food.

Customers were left in hysterics after the plucky pooch pulled the 99p saver menu sign almost 20ft from the pavement onto the shop floor.

The embarrassed owner immediately took the dog out - but minutes later it repeated the trick by hauling the sign attached to its red lead inside the restaurant.

Mobile phone footage captured the strong mutt lugging the advert from High Street into the fast food chain for the second time in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

A man in a high-vis jacket can be seen stroking the animal with the owner thought to be at the tills.

Witnesses said the dog had been barking outside during a busy lunchtime period, but was not aggressive and “excited to see its owner.”

Witness Gaynor van der Hagen, 47, told The Sun: “It was hilarious and took off at a rate of knots. It’s clearly used to pulling things.”

The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized working dog which is bred for pulling sleds and originates from north-eastern Siberia, Russia.

Describing the circumstances surrounding the comical incident, Gaynor said: “A lady had tied her dog outside the McDonald’s and just as I was about to leave there was a loud commotion and the dog ran in with the board attached to it.

“Everyone stood up because of this loud noise it made when it came through.

“We were all just gobsmacked to turn around and see that the source of the noise was the dog running in attached to this thing. I assumed it was a prank at first.”

Gaynor, who was with her daughter, added: “After I had left the shop, I saw her disciplining the dog and it looked like it was going to stay.

“But it slowly perked up and within minutes it had spotted its owner walking towards the shop’s door - and it just took off again and ran in with the thing attached to it again.

“I couldn’t believe it. Everyone was just in fits of laughter. It was wonderfully funny and it was nice to see a dog so happy to see its owner.

“The young dog wasn’t aggressive at all. It was just thrilled to see her.

“I spoke to the owner - who was mortified - but I told her not worry and that it was really funny and had made my day. She laughed and seemed happy that people didn’t react badly.

“I have never seen anything like it.”

The owner was described as middle aged with brown hair. She was thought to be Eastern European and was wearing a long black puffer jacket. The incident happened at about 1pm on December 19.

A McDonald’s employee said: “I was wondering what was going on.

“The dog was barking and the lady was waiting to order. It was taking a long time as it was very busy. The dog couldn’t wait and barged in. It happened twice.

“She took him out and he came in again. The dog got halfway into the shop. Most people saw it and were laughing about it as it is kind of funny.

“He didn’t harm anyone. You don’t normally see that kind of thing.”
