‘Inconsolable’ Melania Trump couldn’t cope with marriage to ‘chronically unfaithful’ President according to shocking White House book Fire and Fury

DISTRAUGHT and broken, Melania Trump told her husband she simply could not bear the pressure of being First Lady, according to the sensational book that has laid the White House bare.
“Is this the future?” the “inconsolable” ex-model reportedly asked mogul Donald after the publication of nude pictures taken early in her career.
She then told him she “wouldn’t be able to take it”, according to the explosive work, Fire and Fury: Inside The Trump White House, by author Michael Wolff.
But Trump, who the book claims was “chronically unfaithful”, calmed her down, assuring her that what she saw as a nightmare would be over soon.
At that stage he was still just running for the top office and he made his wife “a solemn guarantee: There was simply no way he would win”.
According the book, he urged: “Just a little longer . . . it would all be over in November.”
Little wonder that, as was claimed in the book’s first explosive extracts, reported in yesterday’s Sun, the couple were “visibly fighting” at Trump’s inauguration and Melania spent the ceremony “on the verge of tears”.
Queues formed outside bookshops, buyers desperate to read the full claims by Wolff, who had fly-on-the-wall access during Trump’s first year in office.
Melania had earlier denied Wolff’s report she wept on election night when it was clear Trump was winning — and that they were “not tears of joy”.
PRESIDENT BANNON
FORMER White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is making announcements to friends starting with the words, “When I am president”, the book claims.
Previously, Trump’s former strategist, inset, would only discuss what he would do “if I were president”.
According to author Wolff: “Bannon was telling people something else: He, Steve Bannon, was going to run for president in 2020.”
Bannon is bidding to become the next US President after being ousted by Trump. Much of Wolff’s book is devoted to the fractious relationship between the President and his former aide.
Bannon was one of the few people who believed Trump could win the presidency and publicly continued to back him even after being sacked last August.
Bannon, an executive at the right-wing Breitbart News, has lined up wealthy donors for his own White House run, and is said to see his former boss as a stepping stone to the job.
But according to the book, Melania, 47, married to Trump for 12 years, may have other reasons to be far from happy.
The businessman, 71, who has been married three times, has allegedly declared that one of the secrets to a happy marriage is to be much older than your wife — because she won’t care as much if you stray.

Wolff says he believes “the more years between an older man and a younger woman, the less the younger woman took an older man’s cheating personally”.
There is no further evidence about any cheating in the book however, despite what Wolff says.
Earlier extracts claimed the President boasted about bedding his friends’ wives and declared it is what makes “life worth living”.
SADDAM’S SONS
TRUMP boys Eric and Donald Jr were nicknamed Uday and Qusay by White House insiders after Saddam Hussein’s sons.
TRUMP boys Eric and Donald Jr were nicknamed Uday and Qusay by White House insiders after Saddam Hussein’s sons.
Even their own dad would “take regular pleasure in pointing out that they were in the back of the room when God handed out brains,” Wolff writes.
It was the desperation of Donald Jr to show his father what he was made of that led him to set up a fateful meeting with Russia.
Having been promised “damaging information about Hillary Clinton”, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner encouraged Donald Jr to speak with them in Trump Tower in June 2016. Wolff writes: “Don Jr was trying to impress his father that he had the stuff to rise in the campaign.”
Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski considered Donald Jr, 39, and Eric, 33, to be “stupid”.
Wolff says Eric, inset left, and his brother are “reasonably competent family-owned-company executives” who did a good job of running a company Trump had “no patience” for.
The book also claims the President has little to do with youngest son Barron, 11, saying: “An absentee father for his first four children, Trump was even more absent for his fifth, Barron.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s other secret for a happy marriage, he is said to have told friends, is: “Do your own thing.”
The book also claims the pair spend “relatively little time together” and are the first White House couple since John and Jackie Kennedy in the Sixties to have separate bedrooms.
“Often she did not know where he was, or take much notice.”
DUMB & DUMBER
FOR Trump the term “professor” is an insult and he would walk out of briefings if he felt they were turning into a lecture.
Wolff writes: “For anything that smacked of a classroom or of being lectured to – ‘professor’ was one of his bad words. He was proud of never going to class, never buying a textbook, never taking a note – he left the room.”
On the campaign trail in 2016, Trump defended his lack of policy knowledge by saying: “They say, ‘Oh, Trump doesn’t have experts’. You know, I’ve always wanted to say this: The experts are terrible!” This proves to be a problem when he has to listen to technical information about military matters. Allegedly, the Commander-in-Chief considered firing his current National Security Adviser, Lieutenant General HR McMaster, because he was “too boring”.
Fortunately, Trump, inset with troops in South Korea, is impressed by military men and pays attention to those with the most colourful ribbons on their uniforms. Wolff said: “The president liked generals. The more fruit salad they wore, the better.”
The author added: “Donald Trump’s marriage was perplexing to almost everybody around him.”
He also claims Trump spends hardly any time with Barron, he and Melania’s 11-year-old son, except at public appearances.

According to Wolff, there was often alarm that the President “offered people jobs on the spot, many of whom he had never met before, for positions whose importance Trump did not particularly understand”.
Among the people he courted were Tesla car and SpaceX entrepreneur Elon Musk, who suggested the US government could help him get to Mars, and Vogue magazine editor Anna Wintour, who wanted to be America’s ambassador to Britain.
However, there was “no chemistry” between Trump and Wintour, so she didn’t get the job.
