Dramatic moment man collapses just yards from Prince William and Kate as Royals attend Sandringham church service
HORROR unfolded after the Royals attended their Sandringham church service earlier today as a man collapsed yards away from Prince William and pregnant Kate Middleton.
Police scrambled to the onlooker's aid, who is believed to be in his 50s, after he was spotted falling to the ground this morning near St Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk.
Officers from Norfolk Constabulary were pictured assisting the man after he fell to the ground in the crowd. The exact cause of his collapse is unknown but it is thought he had taken ill at the event.
The man, who was fully conscious, was given thermal blanket to keep warm and later treated by a paramedic.
The royals were in high spirits as they approached St Mary Magdalene Church, despite a dramatic turn of events that saw one spectating well-wisher collapse.
Pregnant Kate had wrapped up in a large furry hat and thick coat as she joined William and Prince Phillip this morning.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by Kate's sister Pippa and her husband James Mathews as they strolled to the royal estate in Norfolk.
But Kate beamed in her £445 Moloh coat, matching brown fur gloves, a fluffy hat and thick heeled shoes, which she picked for the occasion.
This is second time she has worn the coat for a public engagement, after wrapping up in 2014 for the Christmas day church service shortly before she became pregnant with Princess Charlotte.
Kate and Will's third child is due in April, just one month before Prince Harry will wed American Suits star Megan Markle.
Kensington Palace confirmed the news that a new royal baby is on the way on September 4, 2017.
A palace statement said: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announced that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
"The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
Typically couples wait until the three-month mark before announcing they are expecting a baby.
But the Sun's Royal Correspondent Emily Andrews believes the Duchess was forced to announce the pregnancy early after to suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness) as she did in her previous pregnancies.

The gender of the new baby has not yet been announced.
96-year-old Prince Phillip also layered up to attend the service and shows now signs of slowing down in his retirement years. The Duke of Edinburgh was pictured yesterday riding his horse and carriage around Sandringham Estate.
A former competitive carriage driver, Phillip represented Britain at several European and World Championships in the 1970s.
