Vile Murray, Bethany Haines' ex, also posted intimate pic of her and screamed abuse over six months

The yob — who trashed Bethany’s treasured scrapbook of her dad, shared an intimate pic of her and screamed abuse over six months — instead got 200 hours’ unpaid work.

Bethany said outside the hearing in Edinburgh: “I’m absolutely distraught as he has just been let off.

“I cannot believe someone who did such horrible things and is a danger to the public can be let off to do community payback. The system is failing.”

Vowing to campaign for domestic abuse victims, she added: “I’m worried. He knows where I live and go to college and everything about me.

"I feel it’s up to me to make every woman in the country aware of what a menace he is so he doesn’t have an easy life or does it to someone else.”

The court heard Murray, 22, shown via video link at Perth prison, will flit to study sports science in Newcastle.

He was caged in October after he admitted stalking and causing his ex-lover fear and alarm in Coupar Angus, Perthshire, from April until October 2016.

Sheriff Lindsay Foulis blasted his lack of remorse for the “degrading” harassment campaign and trashing Bethany’s book to her aid worker dad, 44, beheaded by Jihadi John in Syria in 2014.
