The teen told a court in Rome that he didn't want to be splashed across her profiles during divorce proceedings between his parents.
reported he was so uncomfortable with the details of the divorce battle emerging online he asked the judge to be able to move to America to continue his studies and "make a new life".
And the court in Rome ruled in his favour, so now his mother will be forced to cough up if she posts more pictures of him.
She will also be fined if she doesn't remove old pics, videos and mentions of him online.
Under Italian copyright law, the person in the photographs owns the copyright - in this case the teen.
