Passengers watched as the raging Irish woman yelled at cabin crew before attacking a fellow passenger who told her to sit down
THIS is the terrifying moment a boozed up Ryanair passenger screamed "you devil" at cabin crew before punching a fellow traveller.
The "drunk" woman forced the plane to make an unscheduled landing in Spain on its way to Dublin after launching into the mid-air tirade.
She and her husband are now facing a fine for breaching air security after Civil Guard officers took them off the aircraft as other passengers cheered and yelled "Adios".
Footage taken by one horrified passenger shows the woman screaming "you devil" repeatedly as an air stewardess tries to calm her down.
The raging passenger then hits a fellow traveller who told her to be quiet during the carnage at 35,000ft.
A traveller who filmed the chaos told Sun Online: "I've never seen anything like it in my life.
"This woman must have been absolutely drunk when she got the plane - I can't even believe they let her on in the first place.
"As soon as the flight was taking off she started up saying she needed to go to the toilet and then her husband needed to go but the stewardess was telling her to sit down.
"When the stewardess was trying to make her way through with the trolley, she kept standing in the way and shouting 'don't look at me' at other passengers.
"The woman then got worse and started screaming 'you're a devil, don't look at me' at the poor air stewardess.
"Her husband was just sat there the whole time not doing anything to stop her or calm her down like you think he would do.
"It's terrible because some people might have missed connecting flights out of Dublin because of their antics.
"It's so selfish."
Flight FR7063 diverted to the Spanish city of Santander after the pilot asked police to meet the aircraft when the woman and her husband became “aggressive”.
Video footage shows the Irish woman being escorted off the plane as she argues with a Civil Guard officer and an air stewardess.
Passengers sitting nearby can be heard shouting out: "See you tomorrow", "Adios" and "Goodbye" as the woman and her husband were led away.
They are now facing a fine for breaching air security after Civil Guard officers took them off the aircraft to formally identify them.
The Ryanair pilot made the unscheduled landing just before 4pm yesterday at Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport about an hour into the three-hour flight.
It took off again about 5pm local time after the “disruptive” passengers left the plane.
A spokesman for Ryanair said: “This flight from Alicante to Dublin (10 Jan) diverted to Santander after two passengers became disruptive inflight.
“The aircraft landed normally and the passengers were removed and detained by police upon arrival, before the aircraft continued to Dublin.
“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police.
“This is exactly why we are calling for significant changes to prohibit the sale of alcohol at airports, such as a two-drink limit per passenger and no alcohol sales before 10am.
“It’s incumbent on the airports to introduce these preventative measures to curb excessive drinking and the problems it creates, rather than allowing passengers to drink to excess before their flights."
