ALL bosses should ban disposable plastic cups from offices, Theresa May declared yesterday.

She unveiled the Government’s first 25-year plan for the environment and vowed it would “lead the way” by banishing any single-use plastics in Whitehall departments — from cups to knives and forks.

Mrs May insisted: “This is about everybody playing their part in the environment.

“Individuals can recycle more and be more careful about the plastics that they are using. Businesses can have an impact on the use of plastic in their environments.”

The PM and Environment Secretary Michael Gove unveiled steps to “protect and enhance our environment for the next generation”.

They include a £10million fund to help schools visit green areas.

Poorer inner city kids are suffering from “an exclusion from our countryside”, the PM insisted.
