SINGER SEX CLAIMS

Seal investigated by cops after neighbour accuses him of groping and trying to kiss her in his LA home

BRITISH singer Seal is reportedly being investigated for sexual battery after an actress claimed he forced himself on her in 2016.

Tracey Birdsall, 54, told the star - who denies the accusations - was a close friend and neighbour until the alleged incident.

She said she went to the 54-year-old's house in Los Angeles to return a salad spinner when he tried to kiss her.

Birdsall said she shouted: “What are you doing?” and he told her: "I'm kissing you" before allegedly groping her and criticising her tank top and shorts.

She claims she told the singer, famous for the songs Kiss From a Rose and Crazy, to stop and he asked her to sit with him on a sofa. She says she did because she was in shock.

Seal, real name Henry Olusegun Adeola Samuel, allegedly groped her again and she left, cutting all contact with him afterwards.

Birdsall said she felt compelled to tell the cops after she saw him criticise Oprah, claiming that the media icon ignored rumours surrounding Harvey Weinstein for “decades”.

A source at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department told TMZ they are investigating an allegation of sexual battery.

A spokesman for Seal said: “Seal vehemently denies the recent allegations made made against him by a former neighbour for alleged misconduct more than a year ago.

“He intends to vigorously defend himself against these false allegations.”
