Migrants promised ‘fast-track’ access to Britain as part of new Calais border deal
Even though Britain already agreed to pay an extra £44.5m for Calais security, sources say the French asked for much more

MIGRANTS have been promised “fast-track” access to Britain as part of a new Calais border deal.
A new “Sandhurst” treaty will see decisions on whether adult migrants qualify to enter the UK cut from six months to a month - and to just 25 days for children.
It came as Theresa May launched a fierce defence of a new agreement that will see Britain hand £44.5 million to the French for beefed up security in Calais.
Sources revealed the UK has turned down a demand for “several million” more to help the Calais economy.
