Donald Trump’s alleged porn star lover Stormy Daniels DENIES she had an affair with the US president as Jimmy Kimmel uses puppets to try to coax a confession

US talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has tried to coax a confession out of Donald Trump’s alleged porn star lover using puppets as mystery continues to surround their relationship.

Stormy Daniels remained coy about whether she had a fling with the US president during an appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night.

The X-rated actress reportedly signed a non-disclosure agreement in exchange for £95,000 "hush money" paid to her by Trump's personal lawyer in October 2016 – reports Trump’s camp strenuously denies.

And Kimmel was forced to resort to the use of puppets to try and get the truth from Daniels, telling her: “Show me what he did to you with these.”

The presenter held up a doll dressed in a shirt and briefs and with a mop of Trump-like hair.

Daniels produced a blond female doll with duct tape across its mouth, and gave a small nod as she looked at the camera.

Just hours before the show, a statement was issued in Daniels’ name denying both the alleged affair and the claims she had been paid to stay quiet.

The statement read: "I am not denying this affair because I was paid 'hush money' as it has been reported in overseas-owned tabloids.

"I am denying this affair because it never happened."

But during the programme, Daniels – whose real name is Stephanie Clifford – seemed to deny endorsing it.

She also seemed to hint that she had signed a gagging agreement and was unable to disclose the truth as a result.

When Kimmel suggested this was the case, she replied: “You're so smart Jimmy.”

Trump allegedly hooked up with the adult star at the Edgewood Tahoe golf tournament a year after he married Melania.

Both she and the White House denied the affair in writing, although Daniels has since been mysterious and evasive when asked about the claims during TV appearances.

A White House spokesman previously said: "These are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election."

Michael Cohen, Trump’s attorney who is alleged to have made the payment to Daniels, said in a statement: ";President Trump once again vehemently denies any such occurrence as has Ms Daniels."
