KIM GO BOOM

Kim Jong-un is plotting to ‘scare the hell’ out of the US by showcasing hundreds of missiles days before the Winter Olympics

KIM Jong-un is plotting to showcase hundreds of long-range missiles a day before the Winter Olympics start in South Korea — to “scare the hell out of the Americans”, it is claimed.

A sabre-rattling parade next Thursday is expected to include intercontinental Hwasong-15 missiles, which North Korea first test-fired in November, according top reports.

Hundreds of long-range missiles will be displayed along a route through North Korea's capital city of Pyongyang on February 8, two diplomatic sources with information on crackpot Kim's intentions told last night.

Sources deep within the diplomatic world also fear North Korea could also be on the verge of more missile and nuke tests shortly after the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang in South Korea

Chad O’Carroll, managing director of the Korea Risk Group in Seoul, said the planned military parade could undermine US President Donald Trump's support of dialogue between the two Koreas.

Mr O'Carroll said: “The ongoing US support for inter-Korean rapprochement already appears to be showing cracks and will likely be seriously tested in the event of a major ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missiles) parade on the eve of the Olympics.”

How big is North Korea's army and what missiles does Kim Jong-un have?

It comes after Trump slammed Kim on Tuesday for his “reckless pursuit” of nuclear weapons.

Speaking during his State of the Union address, the president described the "depraved character of the North Korea regime".

He also celebrated North Korean defector Ji Seong-ho, along with the parents of Otto Warmbier, the American student who died shortly after spending 17 months locked up in a North Korean gulag for attempting to steal a propaganda poster.
