CROCODILE Dundee fans were so amazed by a spoof trailer aired during the Superbowl they're demanding it be turned into a real film.
The teaser, starring screen heart-throb Chris Hemsworth and funnyman Danny McBride, had audiences in stitches during the coveted half-time ad-break.
The trailer is understood to have cost £2.8million to produce and was aired to around 100million viewers in the US alone.
But despite convincing many that a new Crocodile Dundee film could be on the cards, it later emerged that the trailer - featuring cameos from Aussie stars Margot Robbie, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe - was actually an ad for Tourism Australia.
Fans around the world are now campaigning to "Bring Back Dundee", demanding producers begin work on a fourth film in the Paul Hogan blockbuster franchise.
Social media users were unanimous in their demands for the movie to be made, with hundreds tweeting using the hashtag #BringBackDundee.
"Man, I wish that Dundee movie was 4 real. I was ready to buy pre-order tickets for it," wrote Court Bauer.
Seth Macy added: "I was 100% on board for that Danny McBride Crocodile Dundee movie and they pulled the rug right out from under me.
And WWE star Nick Miller said: "I still love you, but my heart hurts now I know Dundee is not a real movie."

Paul Hogan became a global box office sensation in 1986 as Dundee, the Outback hillbilly with the iconic Akubra hat, in what remains the most commercially successful Australian feature ever.
The film generated thousands of tourism jobs in Northern Territory - while any big screen reboot would provide creative opportunities for local cast and crews.
Graeme Mason, chief executive for Screen Australia, said: "When you’re dealing with a creative team that has a track record [like Dundee]... that’s always attractive."
"Crocodile Dundee remains the most successful Aussie movie at the local box office and most likely our biggest hit internationally too.
"Although more recent films like Mad Max: Fury Road, Babe and Happy feet have come close to taking that global crown."
Hogan even got on board with the Dundee sequel hoax, saying: "Crocodile Dundee' is a film that has stood the test of time.
"Throughout the past few years, I've been thinking about how to bring Dundee to a new generation.

A joke press release said the next film in the franchise would cost around £400million to make.
It was going to star US actor McBride as Brian Dundee, the son no one knew Mick Dundee had.
"To be a real Crocodile Dundee, I think 95 per cent of it is the vest," said McBride in a statement released by Australian production house Rimfire Films.
He added: "Then five percent is just being able to not fall down and stay on your feet."
Rimfire, which produced the original film and its first sequel, said the movie was slated for release in the summer.
