DISGRACED YouTube star Logan Paul has caused fresh anger after tasering a RAT in a video and encouraging viewers to carry out the dangerous Tide Pod challenge - leading YouTube to suspend adverts on his page.
The 22-year-old, who has over 16 million followers, earns his living from YouTube but the site has confirmed that his recent controversial content violates their strict guidelines and is "unsuitable for advertisers."
It has been less than a month since Paul made his return to his channel following a sick video he uploaded in which he laughed with friends at a dead body they filmed hanging from a tree in Japan.
Since then, he has posted on Twitter that he will swallow one tide pod for every retweet he gets, a reference to the Tide Pod challenge which doctors have slammed as dangerous.
And he filmed himself tasering two dead rats on the balcony of his £4.7 million home.
In the bizarre video, he brandishes the taser and screams: "'No rat comes into my house without getting tased!"
Despite the rats already being dead, and having tasered them a number of times, Paul continue to taser them even as he dumped them in a trash can.
A YouTube spokesperson told: "After careful consideration, we have decided to temporarily suspend ads on Logan Paul's YouTube channels.
“This is not a decision we made lightly, however, we believe he has exhibited a pattern of behaviour in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers, but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.”
It is not the first time YouTube has taken action against the vlogger, but their actions will hit him hard - it is estimated he draws in a whopping £867,000 a month from advertising revenue.
The backlash over his Japan video meant the platform removed him from their Google Preferred section.
He deleted the video after severe backlash online – including from Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul and Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner – but it had already been viewed six million times.
Paul has since issued a full apology on Twitter but faced a second backlash after appearing to suggest he was trying to raise awareness of male suicide.
This week, he revealed he plans to start making videos again after posting a spoof trailer on social media.
The vlogger shared the video – showing himself with a long beard and no shirt on – on Twitter, with a caption reading: “The return.”
