PRANKSTERS have been ruffling feathers over the KFC chicken crisis - by posing as fast food workers snapping up poultry in Asda.
Two men wearing KFC uniforms were filmed in their local supermarket filling a trolley with chicken as the shortage widens.
The fast-food chain was forced to close around 700 of its 870 UK stores after a catastrophic failure at KFC's new delivery firm DHL left them without chicken.
Footage posted on YouTube today shows the fake workers clearing the shelves of chicken breasts, wings and thighs.
A laughing man filming the clip says: "KFC's just shut down and they're in Asdas."
He then follows the jokers around Asda asking "what's going on here?" as one of them tells him: "To be honest mate, chicken is chicken".
The prankster adds: "At the end of the day, you're still getting KFC...it gets put in the Colonel's secret recipe...no one knows the difference."
The footage ends with an Asda worker telling the man to stop filming as the fake KFC staff continue to scan chicken at the checkout.
KFC social media immediately confirmed the video was a prank on Twitter after working out one of the fake workers appeared in a similar video last February.
Prankster DiscoBoy dressed up as a Domino's worker and was filmed buying bargain pizzas from Asda.
KFC said on Twitter: "Looks familiar 🙄 #ItsJustaPrankBro".
