AN angry KFC fan who ranted about being forced to go to Burger King amid the crisis has been offered a year’s supply of free BK food.
The chicken shortage crisis has gripped the nation, with millions venting their fury about not getting their KFC fix.
One woman went viral after slamming the fast food chain saying: “I’ve had to go to Burger King.”
She told ITV news: “So obviously I tried two places but they are both closed. Absolutely gutted. Will I get a free rice box for coming down?
KFC joked on Twitter: “We would like to locate this lady. We have one Ricebox left at Head Office and it has her name on it.
But then Burger King chimed in saying: “We’ll raise your leftover Ricebox with a year’s supply of fresh King Boxes! Someone put us in touch with her”
The banter between the two fast food joints continued with KFC replying: “Putting all your chips on the table..bold move BK.
“When our chips arrive we will match your stakes and too put all our chips on the table. Until then we have limited chips.”
KFC fans have been left hungry after more than 600 branches were forced to close last Friday.

Meanwhile pranksters have been ruffling feathers over the KFC chicken crisis - by posing as fast food workers snapping up poultry in Asda.
It is believed the crisis began on Wednesday — the day DHL took over delivery duties — triggered by an accident that shut the M6 and caused traffic gridlock.
An insider said: “Some DHL lorries were sat in traffic for hours and it kick-started a huge backlog of deliveries."
It's estimated that the meltdown could be costing the chain more than £1million a day.
