Black cab rapist yet to be questioned by police over six new allegations against him
BLACK cab rapist John Worboys has yet to be questioned by police over new allegations against him.
The 60-year-old has been accused by at least six women since it emerged he had been cleared for release from prison.
Police are investigating the allegations but Worboys has not been questioned. A source said: “The police have not been anywhere near him to ask him.
“You would have thought with all this publicity surrounding him, the police would have made it a top priority.
“As far as he’s concerned, it’s all part of a ploy to keep him inside and there is no proof against him at all.”
Worboys was jailed indefinitely in 2009 for drugging and sexually assaulting taxi passengers.
But the Parole Board provoked outrage last year by approving his release. Warboys is being held at HMP Wakefield, West Yorks, while a legal challenge is heard.
Meanwhile, Met Police officers are being hampered in their latest investigation of the rapist because transcripts from his 2008 trial are no longer available.
Last night the Met said: “We are not providing a running commentary on the case.”
