As she pulls at her eyelashes to drain the gunk from around her eyeball pus can be seen dripping out.
Shortly after she one stage so much pus falls from her eye that it covers the lens of the camera she is using to film it.
As the fluid drains away the woman is able to open her eyelids and wipe her eye.
The video does not say where the woman is from or what has caused her infection, but it is likely to be conjunctivitis.
Conjunctivitis is an eye condition caused by infection or allergies.
It can cause the eyes to become bloodshot, burn or feel gritty, itch, become watery and produce pus that sticks to the lashes.
The condition usually gets better in a couple of weeks without treatment.
There are a few things you can do at home to ease the symptoms.
Use clean cotton wool, one piece for each eye, to gently wipe your lashes clean using warm water.
Holding a cold flannel to your eye for a few minutes will help ease any burning sensation.
If you have conjunctivitis you need to throw out any eyeliners or mascaras that may have come into contact with your eyes, as these are breeding grounds for the germs.
You should also avoid wearing contact lenses, sharing towel and pillows and you shouldn't rub your eye.
In most cases you don't need to see a GP, but if you develop sensitivity to light, pain in your eyes or changes in your vision you should see a doctor immediately.
In this woman's case, the conjunctivitis had become quite severe.
In cases this severe it is always a good idea to see a GP.
