Killer on the run from Castle Huntly open prison in Dundee as cops warn public not to approach

A VIOLENT killer is on the run after escaping from an open prison while on home leave.
Anthony McGinley - jailed for stabbing Darren Gavan, 25, to death in May 2012 - failed to return to Castle Huntly nick from home leave.
McGinley, 28, was originally charged with murder but was jailed for nine years after admitting culpable homicide following the row in Castlemilk, Glasgow.
He is described as being 5ft 9, average build, with dark brown hair and green eyes.
He is believed to have connections in Hamilton and Castlemilk.
The thug failed to return to the nick, near Dundee, after his home leave had finished.
Cops have warned the public not to approach him.
A police spokesman said: "Police Scotland is appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of 33-year-old Anthony McGinley, who is a convicted prisoner currently serving a sentence at HMP Castle Huntly.
"His temporary release licence has been revoked whilst away on home leave.
"McGinley is known to be violent. If seen, he should not be approached and Police Scotland should be called on 101."
