TWO cops accused of failing to properly investigate the Hillsborough disaster aftermath will not face charges, it has emerged.

The Crown Prosecution Service said there was “some cause for concern” over the actions of the former members of the West Midlands force.

But it added evidence was lacking that this was deliberate — and “insufficient to reach the high threshold required to prove a criminal offence”.

Six men will face charges over the crush which killed 96 Liverpool fans in Sheffield Wednesday’s ground as the FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest began on April 15, 1989.
