Teen almost misses her own birthday bash after fake tan beauty blunder
Morgan Hill, 17, used the St Moriz product to go a 'shade darker than normal' but was mortified with the result. Four washes, and a stained bath later, she finally got the look she was after.
A GIRL nearly missed her own birthday party after a self-tanning blunder.
Morgan Hill, 17, wanted to go a 'shade darker' than usual and used St Moriz Darker than Dark to help look good for her big day.
But the result was a lot darker than she had expected.
And even after washing the tan off four times - staining her bath in the process - Morgan revealed she was still left much darker than planned.
Speaking to the Scottish Sun she said: "We were all going to my 17th party and myself and a couple of friends bought the Darker than Dark fake tan. We were putting it on and it did come out of the tube quite dark.
"To start off with it was a nice brown colour but because it takes an hour to develop it went proper black.
"After I had come out that dark I had to wash it off four times before I could actually go out. It even stained my bath. But even after washing it off that much it was still really dark.
"I usually use just the dark one which goes a nice colour so you don't have to wash it off. But I wanted a better colour, one shade darker I thought, but it just went black."
Morgan added that she would never have even left the house if it wasn't her own party she was going to.
She continued: "I do like being quite dark but this was ridiculous. I chucked the bottle out after I used it. It will never be used by me again.
"My mum was mortified at first but she just started laughing at me.
"It was my 17th birthday party so there was no way I could even have missed it. If it wasn't my own I don't think I would have went anywhere."
Child Health and Social Care student Morgan was needed at college the next day and revealed some pals who also wore the tan to her party showed up discoloured after failing to wash it off that night.
She added: "Some of my other friends used it as well but they didn't turn out quite as dark as I did. It was me and my friend Nicola who put it on and who looked the darkest colour.

"One of my friends from college who had been at the party came in the next day and her hands were completely green. She had used it but didn't wash it off.
"Thankfully she didn't do it on her face or anything so she could hide it quite well.
"Another of my friends from college did it as well - but she didn't come into college the next day."
