Irish woman ‘gang-raped’ by six men on Prague city break as dramatic footage shows armed police arresting suspects

AN Irish woman was allegedly gang-raped by six men while on holiday in Prague - as footage emerged showing cops arresting the suspects in a dramatic raid.

It’s understood the woman raised the alarm at 7am on Monday morning and the police were alerted.
A dramatic video shows armed Czech police bursting into a building and arresting the six men — all aged between 20 to 24.
The shocking clip shows cops ramming through a barricaded door and handcuffing the alleged rapists before taking them out of the building.
It’s understood all of the alleged attackers are from Algeria and were visiting Prague at the time of the incident.

The men were paraded before a court in Prague yesterday.
The court was told the woman met one of the men in a bar on Easter Sunday and went back to a hostel in the city with him.
It is then alleged that five other men entered the hostel room and raped her.
After they left the room, it is alleged one of the men returned and raped her again.

Police spokesman Jan Danek said the “six foreigners” were accused of “the crime of rape and it was requested they were taken into the custody.”
He added: “Then the man brought another five of his friends and allegedly the rape happened.”
The men face ten years in prison if found guilty.
The Irish woman was quoted in court as saying she was terrified during the ordeal and that she was afraid the men were going to kill her.

The woman later told police she was too afraid to try to escape and closed her eyes for fear that she would be killed by her attackers.
A report on a Czech Republic news website claimed five of the men are from well respected families in Algeria and one of them works in an airport in Paris.
A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs last night told the Irish Sun: “We have not been made aware of the case, but we stand ready to provide consular assistance if requested.”
