Ex-Premer League star Titus Bramble ‘three weeks from bankruptcy’
High Court hears that the former Newcastle and Ipswich Town player needs more time to find cash
EX-Premier League ace Titus Bramble is seeking a loan to avoid bankruptcy in three weeks, a court was told yesterday.
The one-time Newcastle and Ipswich star, 36, was absent as the taxman requested the insolvency hearing be postponed.
Judge Middleton told London’s High Court: “An application has been received stating the applicant is trying to obtain a third-party loan yet to be confirmed.
“HMRC is asking for a three-week adjournment.”
The judge adjourned the case until May 1.
Ex-England Under-21 defender Bramble played nearly 300 top-flight games from 1998-2013.
He currently coaches Ipswich Under-11s and at Stowmarket Town in football’s ninth tier.
