THE father of murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence has forgiven his racist killers.
Neville, 76, revealed his decision just days before the 25th anniversary of his son’s stabbing at a bus stop.
He said the choice was “the hardest I’ll ever make”. Stephen was just 18 when he was attacked by a gang of up to six on April 22, 1993.
His dad, now a devout Christian, said: “The fact that I had to lose my first child has been devastating.
“I can’t begin to explain the pain and the anguish me and my family have suffered over 25 years.”
Neville, ex-husband of Doreen, 65, said he plans to spend the anniversary of Stephen’s death in church. Stephen and a pal were attacked by racists in Eltham, South East London, because they were black.
David Norris, 41, and Gary Dobson, 42, are serving life for the murder.
Three others were accused but never convicted.
Last week, Stephen's mum Doreen said she thought the investigation should end.
