TWO moped muggers stabbed a charity worker to death for his iPhone during a bloody robbery spree, a court heard.

Nathan Gilmaney, 18, and a 17-year-old accomplice “robbed and maimed their way around West London” for four hours, it was said.

The pair threatened random strangers at knifepoint to hand over their phones, wallets and valuables — acting like “highwaymen of the 21st century”.

They carried out nine robberies, stabbing five of their victims on October 16, the Old Bailey heard.

One — Abdul Samad, 28 — was knifed after giving up his iPhone.

He staggered a few yards to his home in Little Venice, Maida Vale, but collapsed on his doorstep.

Only seconds before the robbers stabbed another man in the stomach for jewellery and cash.

Prosecutor Oliver Glasgow QC said: “They thought they had the right to threaten and rob whoever they found, and stabbed their victims often for no other reason than simple aggression and bloodlust.”
