Sailor who launched new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth fired over taking ecstasy
It is believed other sailors who also failed the test blamed him for supplying the party pills
A TEEN sailor who cut the cake to launch new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth has been booted out of the Navy for taking ecstasy.
Callum Hui, 17, did the honours at the ceremony in front of the Queen in December.
But sources confirmed the steward failed a compulsory drugs test last month and was promptly kicked out.
It is believed other sailors who also failed the test blamed him for supplying the party pills.
Royal Navy Police arrested him over the dealing allegations, for which he could face a court martial.
A source said: “He’s thrown away his career.” Hui, of Lynton, Devon, was chosen for the welcome ceremony as the youngest crew member.
