JAMIE Acourt will not fight his extradition to the UK.
The former suspect in the Stephen Lawrence murder was captured in Barcelona on Friday.
The 41-year-old from Eltham, South East London, was due in a Madrid court this week accused of the large-scale supply of drugs. But the National Crime Agency said: “He is not challenging his extradition.”
A well-placed Spanish source involved in the hunt for Acourt - arrested at a Barcelona gym on Friday - said: “In the near two years he was on the run, there wasn’t a fortnight that went by without a lead coming in on Jamie Acourt that wasn’t throughly investigated.
“There were sightings throughout Spain, from Barcelona to Madrid and the Costa del Sol.
“Acourt may be a lot of things but he’s no fool and he’s demonstrated that by managing to remain at large for a relatively long period of time when he was such a priority for the British police.

Meanwhile, it was claimed Spanish cops followed Acourt’s girlfriend Terri Dean on a Costa holiday in a bid to find him. But the couple did not make contact.
