The couple are now known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tying the knot this afternoon – and delighted fans with a kiss on the steps as they left the chapel.

Celebrations will go on long into the night after Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in Windsor during a stunning ceremony at St. George’s Chapel.

Thousands of parties across the world have watched the happy occasion, as local councils abolished road closure fees for the big day in the UK while hotels and venues around the globe have shown the nuptials on big screens.

And despite the UK not having a bank holiday, as it did when Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge were married in 2011, this hasn’t stopped Brits from coming out in force to celebrate.
