Moments before the pair had been posing for photographs on the shore.

Marie, 62, said: "We sat on the rocks for a few minutes.

"We were just taking silly pictures of each other and splashing our feet in the water.

"I just looked up and that's when I spotted the flickering in the water.

"It looked as though the light was bouncing off something but there were no boats or people and it was something long - very long.

"I had to do a double take because there was just nothing to explain it.

"I took a few pictures and then my granddaughter asked if she could take a picture. I didn't realise at the time but that's when she shot the video.

"It was weird. Really strange. I can't explain it so the only thing I can think is we have seen the Loch Ness Monster."

The pair recorded the mysterious footage during a visit on Saturday May 12.

It follows NINE sightings of the elusive beast in the last year alone.

Newlyweds Rebecca and Paul Stewart claimed to have spotted the beast while visiting The Loch on honeymoon, last October.

A nine-year-old claimed to have pictured the creature's fin breaking through the water a month later.

This followed a mysterious photo taken by Aussie tourists that showed a dark figure in the loch.

It comes after the ultimate lair for Nessie hunters went on the market for £800,000.

Point Clair House sits on a stunning peninsula that extends into the world-famous lake and boasts six bedrooms.

Located between Fort Augustus and Invermoriston in 3.5 acres of land, the property is described by sellers Galbraith as occupying "one of the finest and most sought after locations in the Highlands of Scotland".
