Pensioner barred from Wetherspoons after complaining his mate’s meal was five chicken nuggets short
Derek Elliot, 69, was asked to leave 'as he was abusive towards staff'
A MAN was barred from Wetherspoons after complaining a pal’s meal was five chicken nuggets short.
Derek Elliott, 69, said “rude” staff ignored him.
But sources claim he was ordered to leave for telling staff to “f*** off”.
Derek and mate Mike Trewartha, 79, had gone for food at the John Francis Bassett pub in Camborne, Cornwall.
His triple chicken feast arrived, but he said: “Mike’s meal only had five chicken breast bites, whereas the menu stated ten.
“I called over one of the staff and asked if my friend could have the missing pieces, but they started to walk away.
“By now several customers were looking and I felt embarrassed so I raised my voice asking him to look at the menu but he just continued to go away insisting that my friend should pay another £1.45 to get his total of ten pieces.”
