Meghan Markle to finally appear with Prince Harry on Buckingham Palace balcony – for the Queen’s birthday
MEGHAN Markle will reportedly make her first appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony this Saturday.
The Duchess of Sussex is expected to join her new husband Prince Harry and royal in-laws on the iconic balcony to celebrate the Trooping the Colours event, marking the Queen's 92nd birthday.
It will be the first time the newlyweds will be seen after their first official engagement as a married couple at Prince Charles' 70th birthday.
The couple are reportedly still on their honeymoon after tying the knot in a lavish, romantic ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor last month.
But they are expected to return to London in time for the centuries-old tradition that will see troops march down The Mall this weekend.
The US actress' presence with the Queen will be the final seal of royal approval, with the Buckingham Palace balcony having become a focal point for the Royal Family and national events.
It comes after it was reported that the Queen has taken Meghan under her wing - with the pair undertaking three official engagements together in Cheshire next Thursday.
Buckingham Palace's balcony has been a point where the royal family has gathered for events - with George V appearing there on the eve of the First World War.
The Queen also waved to crowds from the balcony in 2002 as thousands gathered to celebrate her Golden Jubilee.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge even shared their first kiss as a married couple on the balcony.
A source told : "There will be huge interest in seeing the newlyweds after the magic of their wedding.
"The balcony appearance is the perfect symbol of how Meghan has been welcomed into the family.”
Meghan has managed to fit seamlessly into the royal family already, taking up her role beside Prince Harry after it was revealed they were first a couple.
And all eyes are again expected to be on the American this weekend as she joins her in-laws for the celebrations.
The couple have already been embraced by the Queen, with a photograph of the couple spotted on the monarch's table at Buckingham Palace.

It is the first photo of Meghan to appear in Buckingham Palace and it sits alongside Her Majesty's other treasured photographs of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The photograph sits pride of place at the front of the table and sees Harry dressed in a blue suit facing Meghan who is wearing in a figure-hugging dress.
