A PADDLE boarder came within feet of two killer whales off the English coast.
Will Verling, 43, was doing a charity crossing when the 20ft predators surfaced next to him.
The mammals have not been seen off the south coast for seven years.
Dr Verling, who was paddle-boarding from the Scilly Isles to Land’s End, said: “I’m terrified of deep water and what might be lurking underneath.
“But being so close was awe inspiring.
"I had a safety boat with me and knew if there was a real problem they would help me.”
