Prince Harry and Meghan will visit Australia and New Zealand this Autumn for first official visit just like Charles and Diana

HARRY and Meghan will go Down Under for their first official visit this autumn.

They will tour Australia and New Zealand like Prince Charles and Diana on their inaugural foreign trip in 1983. It coincides with the Invictus Games — created by Harry, 33 — in Sydney in October.

They will also visit Fiji and Tonga.

The couple have been invited to visit Australia and New Zealand by the countries' governments, while the pair will visit Fiji and Tonga at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Kensington Palace said.

The official royal tour will be a rite of passage for royal newcomer Meghan as she settles into married life with Harry.

Harry and Meghan will be following in the footsteps of his parents, the Prince of Wales and Diana, whose first royal tour as a married couple was also to Australia and New Zealand.

During that trip, Charles and Diana travelled 23,601 miles and spent 41 days overseas.
Meghan, 36, made her Buckingham Palace balcony debut on Saturday for the trooping the Colour.
