SOCIALITE Annabelle Neilson has been found dead at the age of 49.
The former model was once married to millionaire banker Nat Rothschild and counted Kate Moss and Alexander McQueen among her close friends.
Details of her sudden death are not yet known.
However, her last Instagram post showed her soaking up the sun during a holiday abroad last month.
Posing next to a swimming pool in a black playsuit and sunglasses, she captioned the photo: "In Spain catching some rays #sun."
As well as modelling she also enjoyed a career on TV and starred in reality show Ladies Of London.
Known for her partying, Neilson had struggled with drug addiction from her teenage years but had later managed to remain sober.
She was best friends with designer Alexander McQueen, after becoming his muse at 22, and is thought to have been the last person to see him alive.
Neilson told the Daily Mail in 2015: “He was my brother, my boyfriend, my soulmate. Most of the time people called me Mrs McQueen. Quite often we were sharing a bed.
“The truth is I was happier with Lee [McQueen] than with anyone else. He asked me to marry him towards the end and I said no. I wish now that I had said yes.”
Neilson married wealthy Rothschild in 1994 after the pair met on a beach in India.
Much to the family of the groom's dismay, they eloped to Las Vegas.
But split three years later after explosive rows and partying took its toll.
It is believed that Neilson was offered a generous divorce settlement after agreeing to lose the Rothschild family's illustrious name.
